This is how I made an interface cable for the HP41. Needless to say, anything you do is at your own risk, and don't blame me if you kill your HP41!

Start by taking a module, pulling the handle out, and inserting an ordinary table knife, sharp edge facing out, between the top of the module and the handle:

Apply torque clockwise, until the left side of the module snaps. Be ready to stop applying torque as soon as the thing snaps:

Lift the cover slightly to make sure the entire left side has snapped:

Now reinsert the knife on the right edge, hold the left (already cracked) edge with your fingers, and apply torque counterclockwise.
